Rabbi Rapoport
Rabbi Dovy Rapoport grew up in the United Kingdom and has lived in Leeds, Brimingham, Ilford and London. After attending school in London he studied overseas in Chicago, New Jersey and New York.
Rabbi Rapoport came to Sydney in 2008 under the Yeshiva College program, going on to teach at the Yeshiva College School, Kesser Torah College and Moriah College. He held various positions in these schools including Rabbi, Baal Koreh, Chazan and lecturer. Rabbi Rapoport has also worked at various shuls in Sydney since his arrival, including Dover Heights Shul, North Shore Chabad, Mizrachi Synagogue, Tzemach Tzedek Shul and Central Synagogue. His responsibities included giving shiurim, running the overflow services, reading from the Torah or leading the services.
Rabbi Rapoport has also completed a BSC with a major in Psychology at the University of New South Wales.
In 2010 he married Rivkah, and together they have 4 children, Ella, Nissi, Ariel, and Aliza. Rivkah is originally from Melbourne and is a registered nurse working at RPA hospital.
Rabbi Rapoport was welcomed to Kehillat Kadimah in 2019 as the Kehillah's Rabbi.
