PART-TIME: 15 – 20 hours per week

Kehillat Kadimah is an Orthodox community situated in Rose Bay. Our community has nearly 1,000 members representing in excess of 300 families. We are a predominantly Ashkenazi community with the majority of family histories stemming from Australia, Europe, South Africa, Israel, New Zealand and England. Kehillat Kadimah’s objective is to energise, invigorate and attract younger families to the community, as well as serve a community which dates back to 1950. In addition to our Orthodox practices, we are proudly Zionist in our values and observances.

We are seeking a Youth Director to be the face and voice for youth and teen programming at Kehillat Kadimah for ages 3 through to teenage years. Working in close coordination with the Community Rabbi and Sub-Committee of the Board of Directors, the Youth Director will have responsibility to maximise participation and the ongoing engagement of our youth and their families, with a primary focus on Shabbat and Chaggim, with an expectation that the role will require proactive engagement outside of these times.

The Youth Director is to be a role model of committed Jewish living. It is expected that this person will conduct him/herself at all times in a professional manner and one that is consistent with the values of Kehillat Kadimah and Orthodox Judaism, demonstrating an example of Jewish ethical and spiritual life.

All suitable candidates will be considered. It is also possible that the role of Youth Director might suit an engaged or married couple who are interested in a coordinated role where they can work together and share the responsibilities of the role.

The successful candidate(s) would be available for immediate start. The role is part-time with an expectation of at least 15 hours per week. For the full role description please click here.  For further details or to submit a confidential application please email
